Sandra Ng Kwan played in many martial arts movies in the 80's and 90's.

She is encouraged by her parents to start with an entertainment career when she was 16 years old. She studied at the St. Stephen's Girls' College in Hong Kong and graduated in acting at the TVB in 1983. She's married with Peter Chan and has one daughter Chun Chau Ha.

She is trained in martial arts, to prepare herself for her fights in action movies. She's not a real martial artist as for example Milla Jovovich or Cynthia Rothrock.


Modeling

She posed on the cover of Trends Health magazine alongside actresses Qinqin Jiang and Annie Shizuka Inoh in order to promote the ''Chinese Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Prevention campaign'' in October 2006. She was host in two shows on Commercial Radio Hong Kong at channel 903 Radio 2 in september 2001 and oktober 2005.

Action Movie Career

She made her action movie debut next to Jacky Chan in ''Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars'' (1985). Other female action heroines in this movie are Michelle Yeoh, Kara Hui, Sibelle Hu and Rosamund Kwan.

She plays Ng Sui-Mui who member is of the female police force "The Pink Squad" in the action movie ''Operation Pink Squad'' (1986). The girls get the task to keep an eye on a blind musician who is suspected of an diamond robbery. They must find his fellow perpetrator, a  musician who is escaped from hospital. 

She plays Amy who member is of a female police squad in ''The Inspector Wears Skirts'' (1988). She plays with female heroines Sibelle Hu, Cynthia Rothrock, Kara Hui, Regina Kent, Ellen Chan and Ann Bridgewater in this movie. The girls are trained by Madam Hu (played by Sibelle Hu) and Madam Lo (played by Cynthia Rothrock) at the police academy. The girls get the assignment to guard at a fashion show where valuable jewelry are displayed. They come in action when the show is invaded by kung-fu wielding thieves and show what they have learned. 

She plays a short role as police woman next to Cynthia Khan, Rachel Yueng and Michiko Nishiwaki in ''In The Line Of Duty III'' (1988). Cynthia Khan replaces Michelle Yeoh (retired as actress) and made her movie debut.

She plays police woman Fong Ngoinam who obsessed is to capture notorious gangster Feitsat (played by Shing Fui-on) in "Thundercops II'' (1989). Her father is a senior officer who is killed by Feitsat in the line of duty. 

She plays Amy again who is member of the female police force the ''Banshee Squad'' in ''The Inspector Wears Skirts II'' (1989). The squad is led by Madam Hu (played by Sibelle Hu) and there are four new recruits  added to the team. The girls train at the police academy and offcourse there is the rivalry and competition with the male police force the ''Flying Tigers''. An squad commander is kidnapped by terrorists when the girls get the task to save him in coorperation with the Flying Tigers. 

She plays Bitchy Ying who the girlfriend is of a hacker who works for a criminal gang in ''Crocodile Hunter'' (1989). She helps two agents who hunt on a gang of high tech thieves with bounties on their heads. Bitchy Ying's boyfriend is the hacker of the gang who led them to the thieves.

She plays Monroe who member is of a female cops team led by Shang (played by Kara Hui) in ''They Came to Rob Hong Kong'' (1989). Monroe is selected for the team, which has the assignment to stop criminal Mao Yiu Tung (played by Roy Cheung) and his gang. Mao travels to Mainland China in order to recruit a team with the plan to rob a bank in Hong Kong.

She fights as ghostbuster Yu against the evil spirit Elf Fox in ''Return of the Evil Fox'' (1989). Elf Fox returns after a lethal life in order to wreak havoc to modern Hong Kong in 1991. Yu teams up with several people in order to defeat Elf Fox before it's too late.

She plays the cousin of an general (played by Billy Lau) in this story about One-Eyebrow Priest (played by Lam Ching-Ying), who has the assignment to stop an large group of strange creatures and paranormal threats in ''One-Eyebrow Priest'' (1989).

She plays a short role as Huang Chia-Ju next to Joyce Godenzi who plays the role of Inspector Mina Kao in ''She Shoots Straight'' (1990). Mina leads an operation, in order to catch Vietnamese criminal Yuen Hua (played by Wah Yuen) and his gang.

She plays alongside Sheila Chan and Sharla Cheung in ''God of Gamblers: All for the Winner'' (1990). A man discovers that his dumb and lovable nephew can see through objects. He decides to use his nephew's abilities into the world of gambling.

She plays Amy in this story where Madame Wu (played by Sibelle Hu) is almost retired as leader of the female police force the ''Banshee Squad'' in the sequel ''The Inspector Wears Skirts III'' (1990). The girls get the assignment to go undercover at a Casino Ship with the task to stop a group of thieves, who are responsible for stolen law enforcement and military weapons. 

She plays Madam Lee next to Charly Ho who plays the lead role as police inspector Li Lan Yuk in ''Vampire Settle on the Police Camp'' (1990). 

She plays a short role alongside Carol 'Do Do' Cheng, Anita Mui and Sharla Cheung in ''Top Bet'' (1991). Saint Of Gambers (played by Stephen Chiau) decides to travel around the world, after winning the AFTW competition.

She plays Sister Bond next to Brigitte Ling, Michelle Reis and Sharla Cheung in ''Royal Tramp'' (1992). Pimp Wilson Bond (played by Stephen Chow) is servant of the Prince of the Heaven and Earth society who want to overthrow the organisation, what follows is plenty of mayhem and laughter.

She plays a short role as Veroinica and Rosamund Kwan plays hitwoman Kwan, who wears a leather jumpsuit in ''Game Kids'' (1992).

She plays former police officer Amy again, who now a divorced mom is with a young kid in ''Inspector Wears Skirts IV'' (1992). The female police force ''Banshee Squad'' is still led by Madam Lee (played by Moon Lee). The struggling new squad members ask help of Amy and former police officer May (played by Kara Hui) in order to ensure that the squad is not declared defunct. The girls get the assignment to stop an group of crazed criminals who create terror in the streets of Hong Kong.

She plays a supporting role as Yue next to Alfred Cheung who plays the role of Ong a former company commander of the People's Liberation Army, who sells fake medicine in ''Hero of The Beggars'' (1992).

She plays Sister Tang Lyn Yu and Chingmy Yau plays Wendy a woman with telekinetic powers who comes to visit other relatives after her mom died in ''She Starts The Fire'' (1992). Wendy gets problems with a aunt, a goofy guy who works in a nightclub and some angry triads.

She plays alongside Michelle Yeoh, Sharla Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Carol Cheng, Esther Kwan and Charine Chan in ''Holy Weapon'' (1993). There are seven maidens recruited to challenge the threat of a Japanese swordsman with supernatural power and abilities.

She plays Tang Lyn-Yu next to Brigitte Lin who plays the lead role as masked killer Fire Dragon, who does tasks for Prince Six (played by Lap-Man Tan) in "Fire Dragon'' (1994). Prince Six gives thugs the task to destroy Fire Dragon after he discovered her moral changes. Fire Dragon fights back with help of the Fiery Dragon Team and the imperial guard.

She plays Sister 13 alongside Karen Mok and Pinky Cheung in "Young and Dangerous 4" (1997). K.K. (played by Cheung) is the leader of the rival Ting Sung society who has killed a gang member of the Hung Hing boys. This murder results in a power struggle between both gangs for the control of a key district. 

She plays Hong Kong policewoman and gambling addict Sau Tin who looks for her husband in ''Mahjong Dragon'' (1997). Her husband is a gambler who has killed a gang in revenge for his friend. Rival gambler Southern Dragon and his gang help Sau Ting, to find her husband in Hong Kong.


She plays Sister 13 again next to Qi Shu, Lillian Ho, Francis Ng and Nicholas Tse in the sequel ''Young and Dangerous - The Prequel'' (1998). An group of friends join the Hung Hing Society and discover that their friend Kwan has betrayed them by joining the Tung Sing Group. That group is the arch rival gang of Hung Hing and a war starts between both groups.

She plays Sister 13 again next to Shu Qi who plays the role of Mei Ling in the sequel "Young and Dangerous V" (1998). Szeto Ho-Nam (played by Mark Cheng) is no longer partying because he finds a new love in Mei Ling. He makes a transition from Triad member to a mature businessman.

She plays an airport pickpocket next to Qi Shu, Jackie Chan, Tony Chiu Wai Leung and Elain Jin in ''Gorgeous'' (1999). Bu (played by Shu Qi) is a beautiful young girl from a small Taiwanese fishing village who travels to Hong Kong. She meets wealthy recycling company owner C.N. (played by Jackie Chan) who becomes in love on her, in this story full with rival businessmen, hired goons and love. 

She plays alongside the beautiful Qi Shu who plays the role of high-tech industrial spy Julia in ''My Loving Trouble 7'' (1999). Julia her plan is to leave the service after completing of one final mission. 

She plays alongside female action heroines Shu Qi, Kelly Lin, Teresa Mak, Rachel Ngan and Rosemary Vandenbroucke in ''Martial Angels'' (2001). Cat (played by Qi Shu) is forced to do a heist by the Russian mafia, after a break where her relationship with jewel thief Zi-Yang (played by Julian Cheung) ended. She receives the message that Zi-yang is kidnapped by the Russians and tries to rescue her ex-girlfriend from a certain death. She gets help of six handsome girlfriends who all want to rescue Zi-yang out the hands of the Russian mafia. 

She plays soccer girl Tong Dai Shun in an soccer world, where each character plays soccer in combination with special kung fu skills in "Kung Fu Soccer" (2005). Lam (played by Anthony Wong) has the idea to form a Kung-Fu soccer team, to apply martial arts skills at soccer games.

She plays Madonna in this story where life hard is by the power struggle among local warlords, bandits and Japanese occupiers during the earlier years of the republic era in North-East China in "Princess & Seven Gong Fu Masters" (2013).
